What is it?
COLAB Sheer + Invisible Dry Shampoo – New York Fruity Fragrance
Why do I need it?
Brainchild of Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends, Colab invisible dry shampoos are different from your every day garden variety dry shampoo in two ways. They don’t smell like your typical dry shampoo, and they don’t feel like your typical dry shampoo. Time and effort has definitely been spent developing these. Using a different kind of starch to most dry shampoos Colab mops up greasy roots without leaving a gritty scalp at all, fulfilling their promise of being lightweight and residue free. Hair is given a slightly mattified texture, but without the chalky white patches that show up on even light hair (for reference, I have similar coloured hair to Ruth pictured). Hair is left feeling silky soft and moving naturally, not clogged up and stiff. Like all well designed products, the user experience has been taken into consideration as well as the end result. These smell more like fragrance than hair products, which after 5 days of not washing my hair (I wanted to wear a reverse french braid and for that you need dirt!) it was nice to not reek of powdered old lady. The subtle fruitiness of the New York scent was pleasant and blended into the background of the fragrance I was wearing – Chanel Chance Eau Tendre.
